Kongsberg Type 2

Type 2 marks the real expansion of the Kongsberg mintage. Anders Lunde adjusted his lettering toward the Altona and Copenhagen style as production resumed in 1784. The series developed through five subtypes, partly reflecting changes in planchet size and copper supply. Die use was highly mixed, and pairings between subtypes are common.
