Copenhagen Type 7

Type 7 was a short-lived but important step toward the final Copenhagen design. Its changing “M” anticipates the much larger Type 8 form, while the “N”, “A” and particularly the “7” also begin to change. All Type 7 coins appear to have been struck at Copenhagen during the great production year of 1783, with no evidence that these dies were mixed into the Altona mintage.
